In 2021 (1400 in the Iranian calendar), a study was conducted at the Dermalab laboratory to evaluate the efficacy of a caffeine-containing product line designed for hormonal (androgenic) hair loss.
In this study, men with androgenetic (hormonal) alopecia used a caffeine-based anti-hair-loss shampoo and tonic for 12 weeks.
Assessments were performed using digital imaging, TrichoScan analysis, a hair combing test, and clinical evaluation by a specialist physician.
The results demonstrated that continuous use of the caffeine-enriched products led to a 27% reduction in hair shedding and a marked improvement in overall hair condition in 68.4% of participants.
Hair shaft thickness increased significantly, and 84.2% of individuals reported that their hair loss had become “better” or “much better.” No adverse events such as itching, redness, or skin irritation were observed during the study.
